You're just a few steps away from getting started. Follow the guide below to set up your account, activate your trial, and start using SketchUp!
Before You Begin
Before starting your free trial, make sure that:
Have access to the email address you used for your trial request.
Have a stable internet connection.
Have created or activated your Trimble ID.
Don't have a Trimble ID yet? Follow our Create a Trimble ID guide before activating your free trial.
Getting Started
Download SketchUp
Download the latest version of SketchUp for Windows or MacOS.
Launch SketchUp
Once SketchUp has been installed, launch the application.

Sign in using your Trimble ID.
Don't have a Trimble ID yet? Create one using the same email address you used to request your free trial.
Already have one? Simply sign in with your existing account.

Your free trial will automatically be linked to your account.
Important: Always sign in using the same Trimble ID you used to request your free trial.
Start your trial!
From the Welcome screen, click Start Trial.

Your 7-day SketchUp trial is now active, giving you access to professional modelling, documentation, rendering, and collaboration tools.
Need Help?
I can't start my free trial
Before contacting our Technical Support team, please check that:
You're signed in with the same Trimble ID you used to request your free trial.
You're connected to the internet.
You're using the latest version of SketchUp.
If you've checked the above and still can't start your trial, please contact us.
Check Your Trial Status
You can view the remaining days of your free trial at any time from the top-right corner of the SketchUp Home screen.
When your trial expires, you can upgrade to a SketchUp subscription to continue accessing your projects and premium features.
Can I extend my free trial?
No. Each Trimble ID is eligible for one 7-day free trial, and the trial period cannot be extended. To continue using SketchUp after your trial ends, you'll need to purchase a SketchUp subscription.
