Introduction
Once your SketchUp subscription is set up, you can manage the users in your organization through the Trimble Admin Console.
As an Account Owner, Secondary Account Owner, or License Admin, you can view your users, update their roles, and remove users who no longer need access to your organization's SketchUp subscription.
Access the Trimble Admin Console
Go to the Trimble Admin Console and sign in using your Trimble ID.
From the left-hand navigation menu, select Users.
You will see a list of users currently associated with your account.
Note: The options available to you may vary depending on your role in the account.
Change a User's Role
If you need to update a user's permissions or responsibilities, you can change their assigned role.
From the Users page, locate the user you want to update.
Click the More Options (⋮) menu next to the user's name.
Select Edit in Permissions.
Select the new role for the user.
Click Save.
The available roles may include:
Account Owner – Has full access to manage the account.
Secondary Account Owner – Can perform most account management tasks.
License Admin – Can manage users and assign product licenses.
Product User – Can use assigned products but does not have administrative access.
For more information about user permissions and roles, please refer to our guide on Managing User Roles.
Remove a User
If a user is no longer part of your organization or no longer needs access to the subscription, you can remove them from your account.
Before removing a user, you must first remove any product access assigned to them.
Go to Users in the Trimble Admin Console.
Locate the user you want to remove.
Click the More Options (⋮) menu next to their name.
Select Remove User.
Review the warning message and select Remove User again to confirm.
Once removed, the user will no longer have the permissions associated with their role in your account.
Important Notes
Users must be named users, using their real first name, last name, and email address. Only users with the appropriate administrative role can manage other users.
Removing a user from your account does not automatically transfer their product access to another user.
If you need to give another person access to a product, you will need to assign the available product license to that user separately.
