Workforce Redevelopment & Job Redesign (Subsidies offered by SFIC Institute)

With evolving wants of consumers, SFIC Institute has various grants/ subsidies to support those in the furniture (and related industries) to learn new skills to be more tech-savvy. 

Singapore Furniture Industry Council (SFIC). established since 1981 is the official representative body of Singapore’s furniture and furnishings industry. Its training and skills development arm, SFIC Institute, is the programme partner of Workforce Singapore (WSG) for the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for Furniture Industry Talent (Design). 

WSG’s CCP for Furniture Industry Talent (Design) enables employers to hire and train new hires and/or reskill existing hires without relevant prior experience through a 3 to 6-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) programme to facilitate their conversion into or within the furniture industry.

Grant eligibility for companies can be up to 90% of monthly salary for CCP training duration (capped at $7,500 per month).
